Catherine Hale: I am a visual artist based in Bathurst,regional NSW. My figurative paintings are executed from the imagination, drawn from people and landscapes encountered: • during travels in a caravan round Australia • working on a multicultural program at the community centre • caring for Bathurst elderly and • volunteering at school vege garden working bees Working with landscape and still life is more meditative, these are the inhabited spaces without the people. My paintings are imbued with a warm tone, and often take on a slight reminiscence of a past era.
